Ludlowe Falcons Football Makes Historic Playoff Appearance in 2024

FAIRFIELD, CT December 18, 2024 — Falcon Gridiron Club Inc., the booster club for the Fairfield Ludlowe High School Falcons Football Team, is pleased to announce today that Coach Mitch Ross was named Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) Coach of the Year, a well-deserved honor after Coach Ross and his coaching staff led Ludlowe Falcons Football to their first playoff game in the history of the program. This marks the second time Coach Ross has been named FCIAC Coach of the Year in his Ludlowe tenure.

Coach Mitch Ross said, “I am so proud of my players and coaching staff on an amazing year. This recognition, while I am honored, is more about where Ludlowe Falcons Football has come from in the past eight years and is representative of the commitment day in, day out, all year round, that our players and coaches put in this year to have such a great season. I couldn’t be prouder, Ludlowe Falcons Football is on the rise.”

Kristen Morison, President of the 2024 Falcon Gridiron Club said, “As President of the 2024 Falcon Gridiron Club, I cannot say enough about Coach Mitch Ross. His tireless commitment to building the Ludlowe football program over the past eight years is second to none. Mitch is a true leader and, without him, Ludlowe would not have made it to the playoffs for the first time in school history.”

Qualifying for the state tournament for the first time in school history is a remarkable accomplishment. It is a direct reflection of the extraordinary work ethic and dedication shown by our student athletes. Day in and day out, they’ve put in countless hours. Whether in the weight room, on the practice field, or in the film room, they have pushed themselves and each other to be better. The time, effort, and determination they’ve invested throughout the year have been truly inspiring.
