A new beginning in 2017 initiated with the hiring of Mitch Ross and the current coaching staff has resulted in Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons football rising to new heights

FAIRFIELD, CT September 10, 2024 — Falcon Gridiron Club Inc., the booster club for the Fairfield Ludlowe High School Falcons Football Team, today unveiled a new website to capture the excitement and anticipation of the 2024 Ludlowe Falcons Football season which starts Friday, September 13th when the Falcons play Norwich Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. EST at Taft Field on the Fairfield Ludlowe campus.

As part of the new website, the Falcon Gridiron Club also created a new tagline for Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons Football – “Rising to New Heights.” While three team-level statistical categories (Overall Winning Percentage, Average Total Points Scored by Season, and Thanksgiving Day Game Winning Percentage) were chosen to capture by numbers the spirit of Ludlowe Falcons Football in 2024, “Rising to New Heights” also captures the quality of the expanded coaching staff, the growth in roster size in recent years and the elevated support for the team coming from the Falcon Gridiron Club and the Fairfield community.

Kristen Morison, President of the 2024 Falcon Gridiron Club said, “I am proud to lead the Gridiron Club at such an exciting time for the football team and the local community. Since Mitch Ross became Head Coach of Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons Football in 2017, the team has made incredible strides and it’s exciting to watch and be a part of. Our new tagline, ‘Rising to New Heights’ perfectly captures the spirit of Ludlowe Falcons Football as the team heads into the 2024 season.”

“We are returning most of our starters from last year and have also added some highly touted younger players and several new coaches who are certain to add to the quality of the team on every level,” said Head Coach Mitch Ross. “The entire booster club is doing a great job elevating ‘our game’. We are no longer a team, but now a program. Our players and coaches have had a great summer of preparation. We are excited to kick off the 2024 season this Friday at home against Norwich Free Academy.”
